Ben Pellicani, PGA professional, has a long history of teaching and coaching players. Starting as one of the country’s youngest Director of Instruction at Chartwell G&CC in Maryland at age 25 before heading to the Mike Bender Golf Academy where he was the first head coach of the MBGA Elite junior development program. While at MBGA his students claimed over 30 junior titles. He also worked with two students who were ranked No. 1 in the nation and another pair were in the top-5 in the Rolex AJGA Junior rankings. After his stint at MBGA he headed to Nashville to be the Associate Head Coach of Lipscomb University helping the program reach new milestones as the Bisons qualified for the NCAA DI postseason twice as a team with at-large bids, once reaching the national championship and helping to guide an All-American selection all firsts for the university. Ben is now a full time instructor in the Nashville area where his students range from aspiring junior golfers, recreational players to tour players. He is recognized by Golf Digest as a “Best in State” and “Best Young Teacher in America” golf instructor since 2017.
Alex Shattuck helped bring The Golf Room Everywhere to life in partnership with Kyle Morris and was promoted to Lead Instructor in 2021. Through an understanding of cause and effect in the golf swing, Alex is passionate about not only removing compensation, but providing his clients a clear roadmap for improvement. A nominee for Golf Digest Best Young Instructor, he works one on one with his members and also assists Kyle Morris in the training of teachers around the world.
As one of the first members of the Elite Junior Program at the Mike Bender Golf Academy, Alex received unparalleled, full-time instruction from Mike Bender, Cheryl Anderson, and Ben Pellicani. Upon graduation, Alex earned a scholarship to play Division-1 golf at The College of William & Mary where he won the President’s award for leadership. He knows what it takes to compete at the highest levels of amateur golf, winning a State Amateur and competing in his first USGA event during his time there.
Alex knows how to go well beyond the golf swing, being mentored in the art of being a tour pro by Nick O’Hern. He also brings the unique background of having been a college coach at the Division-1 level, assisting Casey VanDamme with the men’s and women’s teams at South Dakota State University. From putting together practice plans and analyzing stats, he takes an all-around approach to improvement. As a coach, Alex places a priority on building a relationship and translating difficult concepts to actionable steps. He has caddied on both the PGA and LPGA Tours and still competes himself. He intimately knows the highs and lows that a player will go through to get to the next level.
Ryan Crawley is a PGA member certified in teaching and coaching. Ryan holds other certifications with TPI, Boditrak, Swing Catalyst, & U.S. Kids. Before teaching, Ryan attended Ferris State University for professional golf management. During those years Ryan traveled across the United States to shadow some of the best instructors, names like Manuel de le Torre, Joe Hallett, Phil Rodgers, Derek Uyeda, Rick Smith, Jamie Mulligan, and Adam Schriber.
Over the past 7 years Ryan has taught over 20,000 lessons and has been fortunate to develop a junior program that has won over 200 tournaments. He has coached players that have attended Vanderbilt, Louisville, USC, Alabama Birmingham, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and more. His students have participated in the biggest amatuer events such as the 2018, 2019, and 2021 NCAA National Championships, and the 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 USGA Men’s and Women’s U.S. Amatuer Championship and qualifying for the match play portion in 2018 and 2020. Ryan was rated a Top 100 instructor for his efforts to grow the game of golf by Golf Range Association of America.
Jack Stumpfig brings a wealth of knowledge from his extensive playing and teaching background will help build the swing of a lifetime. Jack played collegiate golf at Columbus State University under head coach Mark Immelman. During his time there Jack was an all-conference player and for 2 years was ranked in the top 75 in the country. After graduating in 2017 Jack played professionally where he accumulated 5 wins on various developmental tours and also enjoyed a career low course record tying 62. Jack still loves to compete and play events during his free time. He believes
that it's important that a coach stays competitive so they can better relate to their students.
From a very young age Jack has been fascinated about the game and over the years has received instruction and mentorship from Kyle Morris, Ben Pellicani, Joseph Mayo, Mark Immelman, Scott Hamilton, Andrew rice, and Mike Shannon. As a player, Jack understands there is more to golf than just the swing and has a very wholistic approach to the game. Jack takes the students goals, commitment level, physical limitations, and skill into consideration and develops a game plan using the most effective training aids and drills so that they can become their best. The end goal is for each student to develop maximum consistency through the stock shot so they can get more enjoyment out of the game and have the ability to become their own coach.
